Internets, I don’t think you’ve fully grasped the implications of Disney making Star Wars VII - that is to say, a Star Wars film set after the events of Return of the Jedi.

Viz: that Disney will, in all probability, be recasting Luke, Leia and Han Solo with new, young actors, because that is exactly the sort of thing that Disney does.

Disney.

And just… OK. At the end of Jedi, Luke and Leia are meant to be about 26, and Han is meant to be about 29 - which is to say, all three are under thirty, being played by actors who were at that point roughly 32 (Hamill), 28 (Fisher) and 41 (Ford). So even if they move things forward five or so years, they’re still in range to cast twentysomething actors in all three roles, because that’s how Hollywood rolls; or, if not twentysomethings specifically (though I’d lay good money that whoever plays Leia will still be a half-decade younger than her male costars) then actors who are currently big-name stars in vaguely the right age bracket.

So, what’s it going to be: Justin Timberlake as Luke, Kristen Stewart as Leia and Sam Worthington as Han Solo? That’s not even the worst combination I can think of. Not by a long shot.

Brace yourselves, is what I’m saying.

BRING

IT

THE TEARS OF A THOUSAND FANBOYS

I WILL SPLASH IN THEM

Jar Jar Binks’s children (boy and girl twins, natch) as adorkable sidekicks.

The involvement of Robert Pattinson in any fucking capacity whatsoever.

Halle Berry as a grown-up Ahsoka Tano.

Jennifer Lawrence as Leia with Josh Hutcherson as Luke (AWKWARD).

I mean. The possibilities are ENDLESS.
