Anonymous asked: In your opinion, are negative portrays of female characters in novels written by women criticized with the same intensity and ferocity as those in novels written by men?

Definitely. A perfect example of this is the amount of criticism online dedicated towards the ladies and relationships depicted in YA novels, particularly those with a paranormal and/or romance flavour. The majority of such books are written by women, and the female characters - to say nothing of the books themselves - are analysed endlessly.
