Anonymous asked: (Anon bc no account) I have just read your writings on Moffat/Sherlock. I've never had trouble writing off Moffat's alleged sexism. I didn't mind that Irene Adler didn't win, because I really like it when Sherlock wins. I didn't care that she's a lesbian who fell for him, because I could always point to Erika Moen. But you really got to me with everything you said. Your intelligent, reasonable, and undeniably good points have challenged my thoughts and I love your Tumblr all the more for it.
Thanks! I have a very love/hate relationship with Moffat’s stuff. He does such good dialogue and can have such awesome ideas, plus he gets to play in all the coolest story-sandboxes, that criticising him often feels like a deficiency on my part - like, why can’t I just sit back and enjoy the awesome? But then, AGH, the ladies! The sexism! And the offense he takes whenever anyone suggests that this might be a valid criticism! AHKGFJFGJG
Anyway: thanks, and glad you liked the piece :)
