Anonymous asked: You might have seen something on this, but some people have noticed that tagging with things like "purge" and "tumblr purge" makes it a lot more like that a post gets flagged, so it could be that and not the picture you're reposting.
It’s possible, but the most recent version of the reblog hasn’t been flagged despite having that tag, so I suspect in this case it has more to do with the size/scaling of the image. My guess is the bots don’t take the existence of close-ups into account: they’re looking for full-body shots of porn, so if there’s a close-up image of, say, an elbow crease or a bent knee, they think it’s actually a Sexy Genital Part and flag it. But now that the image is so much smaller on the fourth reblog, it presumably doesn’t trip the bots anymore - for now, at least.

i saw something explain how AI recognises images, and it isn’t logical. it isn’t recognising shapes similar to those seen in porn, because the bots don’t see images the way we do. its not even about colour gradients. its like statistically, images with pixels here, here and here are porn. a pic of nothing but static noise could be flagged if the wrong pixels were in the wrong place.
