I was being super offhand with my phrasing in that post - I was referring more to Christian traditions within Europe, but you’re right: it’s not that simple. I’m a mythology and history nerd, so I know that there’s a lot more complexity to it than that, but that felt like kind of a different point to tangent off into, so.
