Brilliant

Yup. Pretty much. Though I don’t think Holmes ever reconsidered his sexism. The thing was… Adler was thought to be a superior female because she was logical and had a ‘male’ mind. I mean, that’s the author (and Holmes’) sexism peeking through. The racefail and sexfail is just the  modern author being consistent with the thoughts and opinions of the 19th century author. I’ve met Moffat before, and… I mean, he was perfectly nice to me and my friends. Probably more than nice. I was super-shy, and he spent time actually talking to me. But… he also had a harem of young, attractive women around him every night. Not to oversimplify things, but I think he’s one of those guys who sees women in two ways: the hot ones, and the smart ones worth talking to. And you’re worth double as a woman if you are both.

Yeah, we know what Moffat thinks of attractive ladies, just look at Miss Evangelina from Silence in the Library.

This.

Alas.
