indigo-night-wisp asked: Hi, I just saw a post about a character that went to a fantasy world and then came back to this one and you said that this was a concept you were writing/had written and I just wanted to ask if you had it published? (Or basically when/where can I read it?)

Hi there! I have indeed written a novel that’s similar to this, and it’s currently out on submission - meaning, it hasn’t been published yet, but hopefully might be in the future. In the mean time, if you want some really awesome new portal fantasies, I can recommend the following:

- The Mirror Empire, by Kameron Hurley

- Otherbound, by Corinne Duyvis

- Child of a Hidden Sea, by A. M. Dellamonica

Seanan McGuire also has a forthcoming portal fantasy release, Every Heart A Doorway, that I’m very excited about, and while I personally wasn’t a huge fan of Lev Grossman’s The Magicians, it’s about to be made into a TV series, and just because I didn’t like it doesn’t mean someone else won’t. Also on the new TV front, there’s Outlander, adapted from the books of the same name by Diana Gabaldon, which is really well done,

So, go ye forth and enjoy some portal fantasies!
