I finally got around to buying a SAD light, and today it arrived. And I just… you guys. You don’t even know. I’ve been feeling so fucking miserable, and then I turned it on, and within twenty minutes I actually felt like a fucking person again. Magic science light is magic.

Whats a sad light? Does it need tissues? Maybe a hug?

SAD = Seasonal Affective Disorder. Basically, as someone who lives in a place with very little natural sunlight (Scotland) and who, in my case, grew up somewhere that abounded in same (Australia), the winter here plunges me into massive depression. SAD lights are specifically made to imitate summer sunlight, thereby fixing the source of the depression, thereby making me feel about 9000% better. I hadn’t been sure this was what I was suffering from until recently, but when I put on the light today, I started to feel an improvement really, really quickly, and - yeah. :)
